The most disappointing part of the State of the Union for me was the stuff that was left out. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to hear more about the Mars trip. I mean Bush said we were going to send a man to walk on Mars!!! When is he going to follow up on that?

We will put a man on Mars when my five year old is old enough to go. Alex is convinced that there is life there, and he wants to go there to explore someday. If I'm still alive then, I'll go with him. We gotta support our kids. He got his first telescope for Christmas and he is facinated by the night sky. It is refreshing to see the universe thru a child;s eyes.
It's refreshing to see a bathroom through a child's eyes. It amazes the places they find great wonder. Oh how wonderful it would be if nothing were mundane. Our two-year old gets great joy when our insane cat hisses at her. She lays on the floor and belly-laughs.
