It could be. . . It might be . . .

Let's see if Andy's still reading this blog . . .

This man hit 14 home runs in April.

This team hit 14 home runs in April. I guess they're not getting many free Krispie Kreme doughnuts this year.

No, he's not, and besides that the season's not over yet, so shut yer pie hole.
1985! 1985! 1985!

You're right, Andy. He probably won't be able to stay ahead of the Royals for the whole season.

What really makes me mad is that I can picture your expression as you type this - smug little self-satisfied grin. The Royals WILL catch Pujols this year, I can feel it!
Actually this could turn into an interesting thing. We could track Pujols vs. the Royals in a whole bunch of categories - home runs, RBI, runs scored, etc.

I couldn't get to the Royals website earlier today. Apparently the Royals are having a problems stringing three w's together...

If Sweeney is either traded or on the DL for an extended period of time, I'll put my money on Albert.

1985?! Oh that's right...I remember now. That was the last year the Royals had a winning record. They are more than 1000 games below .500 since Don Dinkinger's admitted blown call. I saw an interview with him last year in which he acknowledged that he was dead wrong calling Orta safe. In an interview with Whitey Herzog that was on last night, the White Rat pointed out that Jack Clark was consequently forced to hold the runner on first base, hindering his chances of running down a foul ball that he would have routinely snagged for out #3.

Cardinals' punishment: "Losing" the series.

Royals' Karma: An eternity of comical ineptitude.
