I made it back from Chicago. What an exciting week it was. I saw Jeanne and Jeff perform at Jeanne's 40th Birthday show. It was a great time. I have a couple of clips from the show. I'll try to post them in the next few days.I saw another show, took in a White Sox game, and ate some great food. I think I managed to put on some pounds despite walking several miles a day.
The best part of the week, however, was getting off the train back in Springfield where a couple of girls ran up and embraced my legs.

Regardless of the outcome of the playoffs, the baseball season is a success - the Cubs finished with the worst NL record.
I have no bad feelings for Joe Girardi, but what is he thinking?? He is contemplating a move up the managerial food chain from the Marlins to the Cubs. He would still be working for one of the three worst run teams in the league (the Orioles are the third).
Is anyone missing the White Sox? They aren't going to defend the title this year, but nobody (including most of Chicago) seems to care.
At least Chicago can claim the Bears...

Yes, I am busy as can be. I was in KC last weekend for the Nascar races. We are going to Green Bay this weekend. Work is also busy as can be. I did get a promotion last week, though. That makes it a lot better.
Girardi doesn't have a choice. The Marlins don't want him. He ticked off the owner.
Seamhead, I can tell you took one of those pictures from the steps of the Field Museum because we took an identical photo on Sunday. It was a great experience (although getting lost in the hood was not.) I will write about that tomorrow on my blog. Enjoy!
Did you guys do the King Tut exhibit and if so, was it worth it? Wondering if it would be appropriate for a 4 going on 5 yeard old.

I didn't go inside the field museum. I was walking and taking photos after my class that day.
i would think a 5 year old would love the King Tut exhibit though. I remember King Tut being one of the first interests I had when I was a kid.
