That's a Winner!!!
Wow!! How many of you saw it? No lying! How many of you went to bed?? Tell the truth . . . It was awesome!!
I saw it seamhead. Your brother kept telling me to turn it off but I couldn't. Now we don't have to hear that darn buzzing anymore!! This series is brutal. They looked like the cardinals last night though so hopefully we can keep the rally going in St Louis. GO CARDS!!!
Hell Yeah I Saw It! CRUSHED!!! I told my wife she had just witnessed one of the greatest moments in baseball by one of the greatest players of all-time. I'm with you too DLS, Eckstein is scrappy.
Now Seamhead, I highly object to this POST for reasons you should already be aware per your own counsel and I strongly propose it should be deleted from the blog prior to the start of the next game. -Howdy
Reporter: "That ball by Pujols was crushed. That was no cheap home run."
Garner: "There are some parks where that ball might not have gone out."
Reporter: "Name one."
Garner: "Yosemite."
I was reading an Astros fan blog this morning and >90% of them have resigned to losing the series, and many stated Lidge has lost it. One said Wheeler should have pitched the 9th because his stuff has been better????
They (whoever 'they' are) say that the home run measured at 412'. That may be where it was when it hit the fence past the tracks, but I doubt seriously that it would have stopped at only 412'.
I heard Brad Ausmus on the radio today. He said that if the roof had been open, Pujol's ball would left the ballpark.
When they flew to St. Louis the Astros had the pilot add to his 'you may now move about the cabin' spiel. After his spiel, he said and off to your left you may be able to catch a glimpse of the ball Albert Pujols hit last night.

Damn that ball got out in a hurry! Phil Garner said after the game he told Lidge not to give Pujols (2005 MVP) anything to hit????

Lidge is awesome too. I wish he were a Cardinal. What an awesome game. Do they have any more magic in them? I can't wait to find out.
