The first actual bit of news

Shelly and I are excited to announce that we're uprooting the family this summer. The idea has been in our heads for about a year now. Circumstances have conspired to make the idea possible and very attractive.

We are headed to Springfield, IL. That's where my brother and his family live. That's also where Mom lives. It's closer to Wisconsin for my cheesehead wife. It's closer to Busch Stadium for Willa and me.

We are excited! Willa and Isa will get to play with their cousins, Parke and Ben, all the time. I'm looking forward to golfing with Roy. It's closer to Troy, too. I'm hoping to get back there and pound on Myron and Lou at golf as well.

A big thanks to Roy and Sarah and to Mom for helping make this move possible.

Rog--Congrats to you and the whole family! Neat Weblog. I'm surprised Spfd, IL is closer to Troy than where you live now. Since this is for updating friends: I'm happy to announce that my wife Michelle is 12 weeks pregnant with our 2nd child. We saw the ultrasound on Monday which was also our son Wade's 3 yr birthday. And, we moved houses in late July. Still in O'Fallon, technically (St. Paul). We still own our first home (4 bed 2 1/2 bath) which just opened up for rent so if ya know anyone looking, let me know!

Re: Cardinals, My State Farm brother-in-law is at Legend's Camp in FL right now for his 40th b-day gift. Started today, lucky stiff! Also, this week, my custom home builder brother-in-law quoted remodeling Wayne Hagin's basement and last year my landscaping brother-in-law did the sod work in Joe Buck's yard. Per conversation last weekend with my Spfd, MO friend, Steve, he has great season ticket seats for the new Cards AA team there. For my part, remind me to email you "My World Series Experience" story (which by the way has no brother-in-law connection. You'd think there'd be an inside track with all of that!

Congrats again on the move! Make sure you keep the Blog postings "fair and balanced".
